Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who supported us and picked up a copy of ‘Tickets & Passports’ this past week. I’ve said this plenty of times before, but you guys are the reason we are able to keep making music, and I don’t know how to thank you enough for that. the last few years we have taken a DIY approach to everything we do, and this has allowed us to do things on our own terms at all times. This also means that every time one of you guys buys a song or an album of ours, nearly all of that comes straight to the band and is used to keep recording and on the road. Thank you for supporting us. Much love, as always.

Andy

p.s. if you havent picked up the record yet be sure to go here!

let’s have some fun

So I thought I’d make this a fun blog.   For the last year or two, I have been keeping up with a list of funny band names I’ve come up with by adding some fun words to ends of band/artist’s names to make it sound funny… (that was def. a run-on sentence) You’re porbably a little confused so let me explain.  For example, New Found Glory.  You take New Found Glory and add the word origami to the end of it…. now you got New Found Glorigami.  Get it??

Some fun ones I’ve come up with:

Cartelephant, From First to Lastronaught.  Hidden in Plain vewwwww Your Ugly, Kanye Westeedees (my fav.), Thrice-a-roni, Panic at the Discocopuffs, Manchesteter Orchestraining Bra…etc etc

Let’see what you guys can come up with…

ready, set, go!

Mhmmmm

First off, thank you to everyone that came out to the CD release show on Friday night.  We had an absolute blast.  We couldn’t of asked for a better night, so THANK YOU GUYS for all the love and support and making it such an amazing night!  We hadn’t played a show since last December, so it was amazing being on stage and playing some new songs to such an awsome crowd.

So I’m super curious on what you guys have been listening to lately?  Let me know in the replies…. Just in case you were wonder what I’ve been listening to lately,  I’ve been spinning  Third Eye Blind- Out of the Vein over and over and over.  If you haven’t ever checked out that album, give it a chance.  It very well might be your next favorite cd (besides T&P….. jk)

-Kenny

PS. My dad’s dozing off next to me, and he keeps sleep talking…. and to make the situation more random, the TV’s on a Spanish Channel…. what the?

Random Thought

So I have two computers. One is old and sucks a lot, the other one is new and doesn’t suck a lot. I was sending e-mails on both of them and I realized something: Even though my new computer is younger than my old computer, it gets crap done and processes information at a much faster rate of speed. What I’m saying is, if my old computer dies tomorrow (it’s 4 years old) and my new one dies in two years, my new one probably actually lived a longer life, or at least a life equal in time, because it processes data faster than my old computer.

Now, I started thinking about this in terms of living creatures. They say for every 1 human year, it’s 7 dog years. Maybe dogs just process information at a rate that is 7 times faster than humans do. So even though they’re living 1/7 the length, they’re processing 7 times the amount of information and thus living the same exact amount of time as a human psychologically (in their minds). Maybe the life span of every creature on earth is relative to how fast they can process data, and all living creatures live for the same amount of time in their brains.

Ask your teacher about it in class tomorrow or something.

First and foremost, I want to thank all of you guys. Being a band that believes strongly in the DIY approach, we rely heavily on word of mouth and spreading the word about our music on a grassroots level.  It is how we were able to start to build a following over the past few years, and how we will continue to with the release of this upcoming album. It’s directly because of you guys that this record was even possible to make, and not only that, but we had the freedom do things exactly how we wanted to, and not with a label trying to make us into something we are not. So thank you again.

That being said, we need your help one more time. We are putting together a little contest over the next few weeks to help spread the word about “Tickets & Passports”.  But this time we are going to be giving you guys some sweet things in return. All you have to do in order to be eligible is log onto your myspace account, and do the following things.

1. - Save the image below and make it your default image on Myspace, as well as change your name to “(name) and Passports”. So if your name is Nigel, it’ll be “Nigel & Passports”.
2. - Add one of our new songs to your profile (currently the only new one we have up is ‘Getaway’, but we will be posting a few more very shortly).
3. - Comment us on Myspace and let us know you did these things.

Every few days from now until April 14th, we will be picking a bunch of people at random from our comments section, you can win: Exclusive early stream of new songs and possibly the entire album before it comes out, Tshirts, Cd’s, Bracelets, personalized videos/songs, signed merch/memorabilia and more….(as soon as we think of it).  So start promoting away!
