It's been a while...

Apologies for being horrible at updating our blog.  Let’s see… we got home from a rad tour on Sunday night and have been enjoying ourselves at home for the last few days.  Anyways, I just wanted to check and in say hello and let everyone know that  I’m going to begin working on a video of all of our favorite parts of this last tour.  So keep an eye out for that.

What’s everyone got planned for the summer? Anyone doing anything sweet?

Kenny

PS  2009 is almost halfway over… isn’t that crazy? It feels like 2009 just began a couple months ago.  I’m rambling….

So here’s the story… We were eating at a Subway in Baltimore, Maryland.  This lady comes in and demands that the lady at subway get a raise to $55 an hour.  (She was the worste sub maker ever I can’t disagree anymore with the lady)  Joel stood up to go get a fork, and she looked at Joel and goes ” I ain’t speaking to you!”  and started going off about how she was mad at her husband and stormed out.  We found her on the streets later on, and this is what happened.

Moral of the story: Touring is the best

Everyone knows I'm in...

So I’m currently here listening to ‘How To Save A Life’ (not to be confused with ‘How To Call A Bluff, which I was spinning earlier), and packing my life away for tour. This is always such a stressful process for me as I am one of the most absent minded people ever. I lose/forget my wallet and phone on a daily basis, anyone in the band will attest to that….haha. Anyways, we spent the day eating some delicious Georgia barbecue (I finally went to swallow at the hollow for those twitter followers out there), practicing the new set, getting our van in working condition, and meeting up with some good friends (<3 the Morning Light). I hope to see you all on this tour. We have some very cool surprises in store for you and alot of new music as well! The dates are on our myspace page. go scope em’, and let me know if you are gonna be at any of the shows.

see you on the road.

Andrew

Holiday Parade x 60

…so many of these sitting on my desk, it’s insane. It started off with me piling about 60 of them on my desk, and putting them into padded envelopes to mail out. Then I realized I didn’t have any more envelopes, so they’ve just been sitting here because I’m too lazy to move them back to where I got them.

Sushi

So wednesday was kenny’s 22nd birthday. Be sure to wish him a happy belated if you haven’t yet. To celebrate we went to his dad’s restaurant, and had some delicious japanese food. Seriously, his dad’s place has the best fried rice I’ve ever tasted….wow. Our good friend JJ Killa joined us for the evening. Afterwards we tried to go bowling, but apparently the bowling alley’s close early up by where kenny lives, so we ended up going back to casa muto to hang out and talk about life.good times. happy birthday kenny!

Lately I’ve been getting ready for tour by going to a bunch of doctors appointments that I’ve been putting off for a while now. I had to get some blood drawn at the regular doctors office but the nurse was kinda a n00b and missed with the needle a few days. I ended up having to have blood taken from both arms (suck!) but it didn’t hurt too bad.

Aside from that our friend LJ came into town recently (hes going to be drumming for us on this tour), and even though we have only all hung out a few times they have definitely been memorable ones…more memorable for some of us than others (haha kenny). But all in all I am stoked to finally get back out on the road and see all of your adorable little faces. We leave for tour on Thursday and I honestly couldn’t be more ready to get back on the road.

More updates coming soon, be sure to go HERE and pick up a copy of our new record ‘Tickets & Passports’ if you haven’t already! We placed on the Billboard Heatseekers chart last week and I honestly couldn’t be more proud of the community we have created through our music. Thanks to you guys we accomplished something that is VERY difficult to do as an Independent artist. And I couldn’t be more stoked about life right now. <33333

p.s. we are going to be doing some stuff in the near future to give back to you guys for making this record such a success. maybe record some more music to give to you all for free or something….more details to come soon. if you have any good ideas leave them in the replies

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who supported us and picked up a copy of ‘Tickets & Passports’ this past week. I’ve said this plenty of times before, but you guys are the reason we are able to keep making music, and I don’t know how to thank you enough for that. the last few years we have taken a DIY approach to everything we do, and this has allowed us to do things on our own terms at all times. This also means that every time one of you guys buys a song or an album of ours, nearly all of that comes straight to the band and is used to keep recording and on the road. Thank you for supporting us. Much love, as always.

Andy

p.s. if you havent picked up the record yet be sure to go here!
